5. Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. Until you choose, and if you reject, we set no analytics or advertising cookies.
- Your choice: we remember whether you accepted or rejected in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask on every page.
- Analytics (only if you accept): Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, shows us which pages people visit and how they found us.
- Advertising (only if you accept): the Meta pixel, Reddit Pixel and Google Ads tag tell us whether our Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and Google adverts lead to visits and sign-ups.
- Subscription measurement (only if you accept advertising cookies): we may pass the advert’s click identifier and campaign label to Stripe with your checkout. We link this reference to verified trial and paid-invoice events to measure our adverts. Where connected, Google, Meta or Reddit receives the click reference, verified trial or payment time, amount, currency and a conversion reference. Reddit events use the advert click reference; we do not send customer email addresses or phone numbers through this integration. Our comparison dashboard receives totals and campaign labels, without customer contact details or click identifiers.
- Payments: if you start a subscription, checkout happens on Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies and site data in your browser.
